Art of Collage
February 10 – March 23, 2019
Artists will submit their creative compositions incorporating various materials – paper, cloth, wood, paint, photos, rocks, beads, glass, found objects, and more – creating a new whole. The origin of collage art goes back hundreds of years, and practiced in the early 1860s. This technique reappeared in the early 20th century as an art form. The term collage was coined by both George Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century when collage became a part of modern art. Unique books and other 3D pieces can also be created using the art of collage.
